Playing Fees
The fee arrangements are based upon the club’s administrative expenses as well as the number of practices and tournaments. These playing costs will include practices, tournaments, uniforms and coaching fees.

GIRLS:
$475.00 (Team Blue/White/North 5 In-State Tournaments)
$700.00 (Team Gold 7 In/Out-State Tournaments)

BOYS:
$475.00 (Team Blue/White/North 5 In-State Tournaments)
$700.00 (Team Gold 7 In/Out-State Tournaments)
$900.00 (Team Elite 9 In/Out-State Tournaments-Elite Exposure Events)

Important Tryout Information
When attending a Comets tryout, each athlete is REQUIRED to bring a COPY of their BIRTH CERTIFICATE, and FULL PAYMENT. Please bring a reversible numbered jersey to help identify you during tryouts. Please make your check or money order payable to CMBC Inc. The payment, birth certificate, registration/ parent permission, MUST all be collected the day of your tryout. You will not be allowed to participate without them. Athletes not making a team will receive a full refund by U.S. Mail.

GIRLS: Each athlete is required to play at their respective age level.
The age level is determined by the athlete’s age as of September 1, 2009.

BOYS: 2008 AAU Boys’ Basketball Age/Grade Determinations:
• 11 & Under/5th Grade: Born on or after September 1, 1998.
   Exception: A player who is in the 5th grade and born on or
   after September 1, 1997 can participate in this division.
• 12 & Under/6th Grade: Born on or after September 1, 1997.
   Exception: A player who is in the 6th grade and born on or
   after September 1, 1996 can participate in this division.
• 13 & Under/7th Grade: Born on or after September 1, 1996.
   Exception: A player who is in the 7th grade and born on or
   after September 1, 1995 can participate in this division.
• 14 & Under/8th Grade: Born on or after September 1, 1995.
   Exception: A player who is in the 8th grade and born on or
   after September 1, 1994 can participate in this division.
• 15 & Under/9th Grade: Born on or after September 1, 1994.
   Exception: A player who is in the 9th grade and born on or
   after September 1, 1993 can participate in this division.
• 16 & Under/10th Grade: Born on or after September 1, 1993.
   Exception: A player who is in the 10th grade and born on or
   after September 1, 1992 can participate in this division.

Note: Teams in the 5th - 8th grade divisions are limited to a maximum of three players on their roster who qualify under the grade exception
for that division. All teams will consist of 10 - 12 players. Teams will
be formed at the conclusion of the tryouts. They will be based on each athlete’s talent and experience for that respective age level.

All athletes should plan to attend the scheduled tryout. There will be no make up tryout session.

Parents and Guardians will need to attend a short informational meeting held during the scheduled tryout session.

The athletes will be notified by thier coach. NOT all athletes are guaranteed to be placed on a team. If you do not make a team, you are encouraged to try out again the following year.
